Key Operative Steps (39.4MB - 4min 55sec) 1) Properly loaded Quik-Stitch applicator & Needle Driver (NDS) passed to surgeon 2) Insert device through access port & gain control of needle w/ secondary grasper 3) Orient needle & grasp needle w/ primary Needle Driver (NDS). 4) Position primary hand to utilize both QS / NDS as one instrument. 5) Maintain this primary palm position for all types of straight needle manipulation. 6) Maintain control of needle during procedure by passing from primary Needle Driver (NDS) to secondary grasper. 7) After final pass to secondary grasper, pick up suture 1-2cm behind needle w/ primary Needle Driver and draw needle & suture into QS applicator. 8) Release pretied knot, set / lock knot, advance knot to complete Approximation, ligation, or Fixation, cut suture ends above knot. |
