PARE@ Surgical, Inc., is a Delaware Corporation first incorporated in 1995. PARE is a surgical
instrument development, manufacturing and distribution company, located in the Denver Tech
Center. The Company is dedicated to the development of innovative surgical instruments which also
result in a cost savings to hospitals and surgical centers. Development of its first product line, the
Quik-Stitch endoscopic suturing system, was started in 1993 and has been ongoing. Activities to
October 1998 included product development, filing of patent applications (US and foreign), in-vitro
and in-vivo testing, and informal marketing surveys among laparoscopic surgeons at training centers
in the US and Europe. Formal introduction of PARE’s first products, the 5rnm and the 12mm
Quik-Stitch began in the fall of 1998 at the American College of Surgeons meeting. Subsequently,
activities to establish a worldwide distribution network were undertaken and are ongoing- A Section
510(k) Premarket Notification has been approved by the FDA for this product line. Three U.S.
patents have been granted and two are pending. International patents have been applied for.
